Burp helps adults coordinate family care. This policy explains what information Burp handles, why it is used, and how to contact us about it.
Information we handle
- Account information: your name and email address, plus information needed to keep your account secure.
- Family information: family names, who belongs to each family, and email addresses used for invitations.
- Support messages: the content and contact details you send to support@getburp.com.
- Care records: the iPhone app keeps baby profiles and care entries on your phone. They do not currently sync to your Burp online account. The web care preview uses sample entries that stay in your browser and clear when you reload the page.
Google and Apple sign-in
If you choose Google or Apple sign-in, we receive the basic account details the provider shares with us, such as your name and email address. Google sign-in does not give Burp access to your Gmail, Drive, contacts or calendar. Google and Apple handle sign-in under their own privacy policies.
How we use information
We use this information to provide and protect your account, help families coordinate, send account-related emails and respond to support requests. We do not sell personal information.
Service providers
We use service providers to host Burp, deliver account-related emails and operate the website. Messages sent to support@getburp.com are forwarded to our Gmail support inbox. These providers handle information as needed to provide their services.
Storage and security
We use safeguards designed to protect your information. Care records in the iPhone app stay on your phone. No online service can guarantee complete security.
Retention and requests
We keep account and family information while your account is active and as needed to operate and protect Burp. Care records are encrypted on your iPhone before they sync to your account. A browser can open them only after you approve it on your iPhone; the web journal is read-only. Keep your iPhone as the authority for access. To ask us to access, correct or delete account information, email support@getburp.com from your account address. We may need to confirm your identity before making changes.
Adults and children
Burp accounts are for adults. Adults may enter information about children in their care; children do not sign in or create accounts through Burp.

We may update this policy as the service changes. The effective date above shows when it was last revised. Questions or privacy requests can be sent to support@getburp.com.
